Cleaning & Maintenance

> The base board can withstand all common detergents.
> The base board, including steel legs | rubber feet | click system, can be cleaned in a dishwasher or under the tap. The base board can also withstand scalding with boiling water.
> The base board will become scratched if it is used as a carving board for hot roasts and other foods. Depending on the foods for which it is used, the area of the base board used for cutting may become discoloured through time.
> The base board will expand when subjected to heat, for example in a dishwasher. It will, however, retract to its original size when cooled. Note that the base board and cutting sheets will only fit together properly if they are at the same temperature.
> Never place hot pots or pans directly on the base board.

FAQ

FAQ

People Also Ask:

Q: What is the difference between the Private Series 670 and the Professional Series 270?

A: The 670 has a juice groove built into the base and comes with three sheets. The 270 comes with six sheets and takes the carving and chopping accessories. Same materials, different scope.

Q: Which one should I buy?

A: If you want a very good cutting board, the 670. If you want something you can build on with accessories later, start with the 270.

Q: Is 24 x 34cm big enough?

A: It is the compact size. Good for everyday chopping, a small kitchen, a second board for one ingredient, or somewhere you simply do not have the counter for anything larger.

Q: What is the gripper edge?

A: A shaped edge that gives you something to hold when the board is wet. Small thing, but wet boards are the ones people drop.

Q: Does it slide on the counter?

A: It sits on rubber feet designed to grip. On a small light board that matters more than you might expect, because there is less weight holding it in place.

Q: What does the juice groove do?

A: It catches liquid before it reaches your counter, whether that is juice from a tomato or from a piece of meat resting. On the 670 it is part of the base, so there is nothing to add.

Q: Which three sheets come with it?

A: Green, red and black, which is vegetables, raw meat and serving. Those three cover the separation that matters most in a home kitchen.

Q: Can I buy the other colors?

A: Yes. Yellow for poultry, blue for seafood, white for dairy and purple for allergens are all available separately in the matching size.

Q: Is it dishwasher safe?

A: Yes, base and sheets. Let both cool to the same temperature before clicking them back together, as the base expands slightly in the heat.

Q: Is it certified for food use?

A: Yes. Profboard products are NSF certified to NSF/ANSI 2, and the materials are food safe throughout.
